Paul Nicholls uses his passion for storytelling to engage and motivate pupils in both reading and writing. Students enjoy all different kinds of writing whether it is fiction, non - fiction or even comics. Whatever they prefer, if a student can read for pleasure their Literacy will improve. For writing in any genre, for example, an essay discussing the relationship between George and Lennie in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men, it is often helpful for a student to express their ideas verbally. If they can do this then there is a good chance these ideas can be transferred coherently to the page.

Having directed many Shakespeare plays for adults and children he is an expert on text analysis, characters, themes and how to make a story fresh and relevant for the reader today. 1-1 tuition provides the perfect opportunity to engage in is this structured and meaningful discussion. It will also enable pupils to:
